Sumner Schick has added experienced real estate and construction attorney Elisa C. Fox to lead the firm’s expansion into real estate and construction law. The firm is building their new full-service practice group on the strong foundation of Fox’s 10 years of experience in real estate and construction.
“I’m excited to launch this practice at Sumner Schick and build it from the ground up,” attorney Elisa Fox said. “The Dallas real estate and construction market has a lot of ongoing potential and I’m ready to bring my experience to the firm’s clients.”
Fox began her work in construction and real estate development at a young age due to her family’s deep roots in Dallas-Fort Worth development. Her knowledge of the industry enables her to successfully advise lenders, borrowers, developers, homebuilders, contractors and subcontractors, design professionals, and project owners on a variety of real estate and construction matters.
“Elisa is a valuable addition to the firm. Her well-rounded experience ensures that our real estate and construction practice will have a strong start,” Sumner Schick partner Justin Sumner said. “Elisa’s personal and professional history in the industry gives our clients significant advantages and insights.”
In her previous work as a banker, Fox gained valuable insight into the lending aspects of real estate development and deal financing. Fox graduated with a BBA in Real Estate and Finance from Baylor University and she holds a Juris Doctor degree from Texas A&M University School of Law. Fox has been recognized multiple times as a Top Attorney by Fort Worth Texas Magazine and by 360 West. In 2019, Fox was listed as a Super Lawyers Texas Rising Star, by Thomson Reuters for the fifth consecutive year.
